At Fire Up Creative, we believe it's important to constantly learn new things, especially in an industry with advanced and changing technology. We are always looking for ways to stay updated on changes in the technology and in the industry, as well as for ways to become more educated on products and practices.
Recently we attended a two-day training session in Milwaukee hosted by Blizzard Lighting and run by NovaStar, one of the leading global LED display control providers in the world. We have several NovaStar products that help run our LED screens, so it is important for us to know all the ins and outs of these products. While we feel we know quite a bit about these products, and certainly enough to run our shows, it is always nice to get the in-depth training on more advanced techniques from the people who created the product.
In addition to the training provided for the current equipment, they also went over more advanced and additional products that could enhance an event, and even went over some new products that will be hitting the market soon. We always want to stay on top of the latest technology and find if there are new products that can help create even better experiences for our guests.
As much as we learn, we feel there is always more to learn. That's why we are also heading to Orlando this week for an additional training session. This three-day class concludes with a hands-on exam that would make us an Absen Certified Engineer (ACE). The course covers many LED basics as well as more advanced technical issues. We will be able to get plenty of hands-on experience from certified trainers that will go over some in-depth procedures and real-life troubleshooting scenarios.
On top of these certified training courses, we have also had trainers fly out from China to our shop in Minnesota to give us personal training a handful of times. They were sent from Yes Tech, the company that has provided all of our modular LED tiles as well as the tiles for Fire Up Video's FireFly SS mobile Jumbotron. The people from Yes Tech have flown in from China now a handful of times to provide us with training and service some of the products.
We also regularily attend trade shows and conferences to find out where the industry is heading, and to discover new technology that can help us provide the best show for our guests. In fact, we just got back from the LDI (Live Design International) tradeshow in Las Vegas, the largest conference for live design professionals in tech and production. (Updates on that to come later). We have atteneded this show many times over the years, and find it is a great way to stay current with the industry.
And even when we aren't attending training sessions, becoming certified engineers, receiving personalized training from the other side of the world, or attending some of the largest conferences in the world, we are still finding ways to learn more and be the best we can be. Whether that's simply networking and communicating with others in the industry, researching online, conducting our own tests and trainings in our shop, or something else, we are always looking to grow our knowledge of our products and procedures.
